How Much Does a Website Cost?
Website Pricing for Small Businesses
One of the first questions we hear is, "How much does a website cost?"
The honest answer is: it depends. A simple informational website for a local business is a very different project than a large website with dozens of pages, advanced functionality, or custom integrations.
That said, we believe pricing shouldn't be a mystery. Before you invest your time in a discovery call, you deserve a realistic idea of what to expect.
What Does a Typical Website Cost?
At Cape Cod Web Design, most custom website projects fall between $2,500 and $6,500, with smaller brochure-style websites starting around $2,000. Larger projects with advanced functionality, custom integrations, or extensive content typically exceed $7,000.
Every project is quoted at a fixed price, so you'll know exactly what your investment will be before any work begins.
What's Included?
Every website project includes:
A fully custom website
Mobile-friendly responsive design
Basic on-page SEO best practices
Contact forms and lead generation setup
A fixed-price proposal with no surprise costs
Additional services such as ongoing SEO, website management, copywriting, branding, photography, or advanced integrations can also be added when needed.

1
No. New website projects are quoted at a fixed price based on the scope of work. Hourly billing is only used for one-time support or updates to existing websites.
Do I need to pay everything upfront?
2
No. Website projects are split into three payments: one-third to begin, one-third after the first draft is complete, and the final payment before launch.
How long does a website take?

4
Absolutely. Many of our projects involve redesigning outdated websites while preserving existing content, improving SEO, and creating a more modern user experience.
